Walk out your front door, and four of Safety Harbor's most popular local restaurants are within five minutes: The Southern Fresh, Parts of Paris, The Kitchen, and The Tides Market. No car needed, no parking to worry about.

A waterfront pier stretching over Tampa Bay is just steps further. Every third Friday the whole neighborhood comes alive with live music, street food, and art right outside your door.

And if you're traveling with family, Safety Harbor Elementary — a highly regarded elementary school — is just three blocks away, a detail that tells you something about the neighborhood.

Traveling with your dog? The fully fenced front yard gives them plenty of space to roam and explore the tropical surroundings too.

John and Ellen have been welcoming guests for over 11 years and know exactly what makes a stay feel truly special.

Every room is professionally cleaned before your arrival. Every bed is dressed with memory foam mattresses, bamboo mattress toppers, and memory foam pillows — guests have actually reached out after their stay to ask us where we got them, that's how comfortable they are.

A welcome snack basket and bottle of wine await inside. WiFi that typically delivers around 550 Mbps — ideal for video calls, streaming, and remote work — and a fully equipped kitchen with a dedicated coffee corner (Keurig machine and all the supplies) make it easy to work remotely if you need to, or completely unplug if you don't.

And if you need anything at all, expect a response within minutes.

Casa Artista — Spanish for "Artist's House" — reflects the spirit of Safety Harbor: a small waterfront town with a long history of attracting artists, and a community that has always celebrated creative souls.

Every corner and detail carries an artist's touch — integrated into fully updated modern comfort and convenience. Walk through the original stained glass front door, sit at the marble-top dining table, prepare a meal on the wood-block kitchen counter, and fall asleep surrounded by original paintings and curated art collections. Staying at Casa Artista is staying inside a piece of Safety Harbor's artistic soul.

We're John and Ellen. Over more than a decade of hosting, we've welcomed hundreds of guests across multiple properties in Safety Harbor and Nashville, earning Superhost status and thousands of five-star reviews along the way.

Our Nashville property, the Heidtke House, was featured on Sense of Place — an international travel series that celebrates authentic local experiences. If you're curious, it's easy to find online and gives you a real sense of the care and personality we bring to every home we host.

Note 1 — Insurance Consideration: To protect your investment and ensure a worry-free travel experience, we strongly recommend all our guests consider purchasing Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance. Our cancellation policy is firm. If you cancel outside the limits of our policy, you may not receive a full refund. We recommend travel insurance to protect your investment.

Note 2 — Refund Policy: When a booking is canceled 30 days or more before the arrival date, we're happy to issue a refund in accordance with our cancellation policy. However, please note that the 3% credit card processing fee is non-refundable, as the payment processor charges this fee and cannot be reversed.

Note 3 — Pets: We welcome well-behaved dogs under 25 lbs. A non-refundable $125 pet cleaning fee applies. Have a larger dog? Reach out before booking and we'll discuss on a case-by-case basis.
