The hotel was located in a decent location. When we pulled up to it rbere was garbage/litter in the parking lot. Thelobby had a bad smell, the room smelld like stale smoke even though it was non-smoking. The room seemed clean enough. But as I spent more time in the room i noticed ateas where something was stuck on and was just wiped over. There was no scrubbing to remove it. The bed was firm but ok, the bedding and towels were clean. The soaps, lotion were Dove brand. Our tub drain needed attention, and we killed 2 roaches during our stay. The front desk seemed concerned about the roaches when we complained, so hopefully they will spray.

This is an older building so some work has been done to it. We had no private inner curtain on our window. The bathtub was slick, no mat or handrails, also dirty. The young man who checked me in was rude, talked low and fast. I have hearing aids and I still didn’t understand him. Staff not friendly at all.

Avoid at All Costs! I recently stayed at what I can only describe as the worst hotel experience of my life. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place had seen better days. The lobby was dingy and unwelcoming, but I thought I could overlook that for a decent night's sleep. Boy, was I wrong! The room was a disaster. The furniture was old and worn out, with stains on the carpets and walls. But the real horror came when I spotted a roach scuttling across the floor. I was horrified to find out that I wasn’t alone—the little critters were everywhere! I lost count of how many I saw during my stay. It felt like I was in a scene from a horror movie. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance was unacceptable, and I couldn’t wait to check out. If you value your health and sanity, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this roach-infested dump.

Why hotels are not in our future

They do not accept tap pay. I also learned that most places do not accept contactless. Since hotels do not allow contactlesz payment or tap pay, we will no longer be staying in any hotel ever again. Of course b&b's are available they accept contacess payments.

DON’T STAY AT THIS LOCATION

Avoid the La Quinta at Brandon—it’s been a terrible experience for my family and me. Upon check-in, the representative tried to charge us twice, and I had to point out that we’d already paid for one night. You’d think she could see this on her end, but I had to show her the charge myself before she responded, “Oh, okay.” On Saturday, things got worse: we had no hot water for showers, noticed two small roaches, and the showerhead came loose and hit my child on her head. Called For the manager and he responded it’s plastic . The pool area the metal door is on a stone half of the hinges. A metal wire is what’s keeps the door shut. So far, the customer service has been awful. I called front desk to let them know my room needed change they responded they didn’t have any rooms available. I explained my concern . Holes on the wall .Sunday no water . We noticed weird people coming into the hotel. At check out the system was down so I wasn’t able to get my receipt. Worse experience ever !
