Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Cannabis fumes throughout the bedroom corridor. Security guard stood right behind you when checking in. Shouting and commotion throughout the Saturday night there, with banging on my door in the middle of the night, which was terrifying.
Room was shockingly bad and was in need of condemning.
It was 30-40 years out of date and was battered.
Spoke with some of the people staying there and it’s used extensively as a place of asylum and refuge.
The entire place is run down and is more like a run down hostel than a hotel. This was the worst “hotel” experience of my entire life and in my humble opinion the place should not be advertised as a hotel.
It has taken blood, sweat and tears to obtain a refund from Britannia Hotels, who have been so un-cooperative with my booking agents, Hotel.Com.
It’s been a truly terrible experience for me and I would advise everyone to stay well clear of Britannia Hotels.
On a more positive note, I would like to commend Hotels.Com for assisting me in getting justice and a refund from this shady outfit and for that I am truly grateful.
