Convenient but not overly comfortable

Lovely hotel in a covenient location. Bed was quite uncomfortable, especially the pillows. We wantwd to order room service and were told when we checked in that there was a QR code in the room to order through. Couldnt find it anywhere, so had to go order at the bar!

Good Hotel, great staff, bizarre restaurant rules

Good hotel looks tired from outside but inside it was very modern and up to date, our room was quite comfortable. The staff were fantastic could not do enough for you. The pool was an area that lets the hotel down, its very tired and run down, however, it was fit for purpose with a working steam room, sauna, and hot tub. The restaurant really didnt make any sense. Usually in hotels you can order food at the bar or have a sit down meal in the restaurant, and normally the restaurant will have the bigger menu. Weirdly it seem the other way around, the choice of meals was far greater at the bar, apart from the fact that the restaurant had a few "specials" (That were not really very special at all, shepherds pie, chicken and chips). Yet all the food came from the same kitchen. As a couple we didnt want to sit in a noisy bar to eat. The restaurant was nice and cosy but sadly empty most nights, and I can see why the choice of food in the bar was more appealing. We ate once in the restaurant the rest of the time we ate out, and had a drink in the bar when we got back. We would have eaten in the hotel far more if the menu was the same as the bar menu. Breakfast had a wide choice of foods, self service couldnt fault it. The hotel is in close proximity to Cadbury World, Black Country Museum, British Motor Museum, Warwick Castle, to name a few attractions.

Very Comfy and Clean Hotel

I stay here every week at the moment, and I have stayed at this hotel many times. I use the gym and pool and although outdated this is functional for what I need. The rooms are comfy and very clean. The Hotel has been renovated in the last couple of years to a very good standard. The staff are lovely and really keen to help with anything needed. I have stayed in most of the hotels nearby and for the price this is the best one.

Like this hotel generally

Like this hotel have stayed before. This time our room was a bit small, everything was in there but close together. Bathroom cold as no heating in there, no central heating in room just a free standing electric radiator.

Like a poorly kept prison!

I have never stayed anywhere so bad in my life. The room was tiny and battered. The heating was conducted by a rusty plug in storage heater, the bathroom not heated at all and a large gap in the window not only made it cold but with the M5 being so close you can barely sleep. The gym is similarly battered, most of the equipment not functioning. Awful hotel.

Basement rooms are very small, shower is cramped and heating wasn’t working. with temperatures below zero outside the room was freezing. Car park was an icy death trap, it hasn’t been maintained, very dark and couldn’t see frozen over potholes that were very slippery. On check in I enquired about breakfast options, woman seemed helpful, bringing me a brochure and informing me of options, however failed to inform me that if I had purchased a breakfast voucher then, the night before, it would have saved me £5… it wasn’t even offered I was only made aware of the breakfast voucher when I overheard another customer at breakfast being offered it, Overall, a very no frills basic hotel

We really appreciate our stay but there's no light on the entrance so we nearly missed it and the carpark was not treated against the ice enough. The carpark was treacherous both on arrival and in the morning. We were out there at 8am and 11am and it was not treated. I mentioned it to reception but saw no one go out and salt it.

Great improvements since last time. The lounge and patio areas have been completely refurbished. The rooms are getting refurbished too. The room we had this time was very nice.
