Room was well-appointed, of a decent size and with a refurbished bathroom. Housekeeping staff friendly and efficient. The Lee Wood has always been one of my favourite hotels in Buxton. Only complaint was that it didn’t snow - which is hardly the fault of the hotel!

Room was Clean and lovely Gorgeous bathroom Staff were very nice and helpful throughout. Cooked breakfast was average, one slice of bacon and a lukewarm solitary sausage looked a bit meagre on the plate.

A tucked out of the way gem, Buxton night life not a long walk at all but opted for a £3.50 taxi to luciano's restaraunt (Also very nice), it was raining.. Hotel staff very friendly, nice to be greated with a smile and a sense of, Welcome! Very clean, comfy bed, had a long soak in the big deep bath much needed after my busy week. Breakfast was fab, and again the staff were very welcoming... in 2025 I stayed in over 70 Hotels, being a mancunnian it must be our northern pleasantness and without being biased Best Western Plus @ Buxton has been the most welcoming and pleasant by all the staff we encountered, even a smile and good morning from house keeping..In an era where underated service comes with a non compulsory service charge to your bill, this was the first time I gladly left a tip on departure..No service charge here though.. Thank you Best Western Plus @ Buxton we will be back. FYI service charges to any bill whether drinkingbor eating out are not compulsory, check your bill be you pay.. if you pay the service charge the goverment earns more tax!!

Booked a room for 1 night. Were supposed to be in the annex, on arrival receptionist told us we have room in the hotel so bringing us over. Great we thought, then told us there is a Xmas party on within the hotel. But what she didn't tell us that the room that was allocated to us was right above the disco going on until midnight!. Noise was unbelievable, 4/5 hours of constant noise. Totally ruined the weekend which we were looking forward too. Wanted to ask if we could be moved but this was at 9 pm so just sat it out. Would of thought the professional and courteous thing to do were to forwarn us where our room was so we could ask for another room before we unpacked! Fancy putting people above for all intentional purposes was a nightclub. NOT HAPPY.

From the moment we arrived till we said goodbye the staff were accommodating, personable and demonstrated efforts to ensure we felt comfortable and well served. Lovely, comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast - buffet cereals etc and cooked to order hot breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and xame across as efficient and happy in their work.

I chose this hotel as it was the only hotel in Buxton with electric car chargers which is another story. The charging was not without incident but the hotel manager was very helpful sorting out our problem. We were in the annex but it was close enough not to be a problem and a nice room. The TV required screen sharing which did not work with my iPhone 17 but not bothered about that.

Lovely staff & building, nice & clean. Furniture in room had lots of handles missing & loose. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy & stayed on long after the light was switched off. Very nice breakfast. Originally had to park on the road before spotting a parking space in grounds. Very handy for the town as long as you don’t mind the hill!

Beautiful tasteful hotel in fantastic green surroundings. Excellent customer service from all staff at the hotel and check was very easy and smooth. Beautiful spacious room and such a fantastic traditional staircase when entering the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the dining area was so calming & pleasant. Excellent location to all attractions/amenities and very easy to walk on foot to reach the amazing shops, bars and restaurant's.. Loved the Buxton Baths. Highly recommend this hotel and I would come back to this hotel when I visit Buxton again and stay over. Excellent standards and 10 out of 10 ⭐️
