I took my 7 year old great niece away overnight, having brought her here back in August. She loves the pool, having a meal in the bar and of course, sharing a twin room. All staff encountered were lovely. Food was hot. Room clean and its not too far from home for us.

Service at the bar was dreadful, it took 20 minutes to order after we were seen. The staff member in question was frequently rude, had poor attitude and even rolled their eyes when corrected on an order they messed up three times. This would be more understandable if the order were not simply a rum and coke with ice. Another member of staff had to step in on multiple occasions to correct and clarify the order. As the original staff member seemed to not pay attention nor care for the actual order being requested. This unpleasant experience unfortunately only served to taint an otherwise nice experience.

The parking was great, a good few blue badge areas which we needed. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfast was lovely and the area well laid out. The only downside was the noise and ignorance of the other guests, but that is not down to the property or the staff. Overall a good stay and was convenient for my travel purposes.

Service in the restaurant in the evening was TERRIBLE. We had to wait for 10 minutes before the waitress came out from the kitchen where she been chitchatting with the bar girl. I and the other people waiting asked if we could have a table, then she disappeared again. When we finally got the table we asked if could get a tea cause our daughter was frozen. She said that the coffee machine was broken. We said that we don’t want coffee only tea, she said that they got the tea water from that machine. We asked if she could boil som water for us in the kitchen, she said she couldn’t. We then asked if she could ask the chef to boil some water for the tea, but she couldn’t do that. Table next to us had same experience, they ordered a bottle of wine. They had to open it themselves as well as poor it. After dinnner I wanted to buy some water and snacks from the bar shop. 3 persons working behind the bar, no one notice me our other clients, they where chitchatting. I feel sorry for the owners of this hotel that they have to pay salaries to such work force. But in the breakfast the service staff was great.

We really enjoyed our stay, hotel, very clean, lovely pool area, excellent breakfast with friendly staff . Would definitely return if in the area. Our only negative was the hotel is a couple of miles from town,so if you want to go out the parking is a nightmare.
