Learning the hard way

The hotel was great but its actual location was 5 miles away from the position shown on the hotels.com map. We suggest you check it thoroughly before booking or you will need to spend a fortune on taxis to get to and from the city centre.

Nice hotel, shame the pool was closed

The rooms are nice and comfortable. My main disappointment was that the pool was closed for our stay, with no notice of this when booking. As this was the reason for choosing this hotel over others, this was very disappointing.

Not very transparent booking process by hotels.com

We booked a room for family of 4, only to find out the room was 2 single twin beds in a small room. How can hotels.com book us into a twin room for a family room. The room did not have any working heating and the room was ice cold. The hotel was booked as part of half term with 2 kids only to know on the day of arrival the pool is shut and not working.

Sneaky Marriot!

Overall it was good and enjoyable 3 night stay, on the downside there was no mention of the swimming pool being closed for the 4 days we were there and definitely no mention on the website that 3rd fix building work was taking place until we had booked and paid, then we were informed. Very sneaky Marriot! Overall though, really nice hotel for the money and very nice rooms indeed..

Unaware of pool closure

It was a nice hotel but our stay was impacted by the pool closure as we had specifically booked the hotel for the use of the pool and were not informed before our stay that it would be closed. If this wasn’t the case we wouldn’t have a bad thing to say
