The stay was very good; the best parts were the hotel’s location and the breakfast menu. Very friendly and helpful staff! There was some wear and tear in the room, and unfortunately we were disturbed by noise from a machine room located right outside the window, which made it impossible to keep the window open at night due to the noise. The bathroom sink was clogged.

The hotel has impeccable service. Locations very ideal for people visiting Edinburgh. All the tourists spots are walkable from the hotel. I would definitely recommend it. The suite offers a very comfortable stay with a great view of the Edinburgh castle.

I have to say, not our best choice of hotels in Edinburgh. Lots of little things created a disappointing stay: I had booked rooms for six. Only half were given the VIP drinks vouchers, the other three had to ask. My room had a musty smell, a cracked toilet pan which had discoloured, and a light bulb out. I thought the duvets could have been a great tog (but appreciate this is personal) and water temperature on Saturday not very hot. The restaurant/bar was closed, we had to walk to the near Apex for lunchtime/evening drinks! I felt overall, a little tired and not very 4*

We stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed how convenient it was to all the top tourist sites. Tip: easy walk to the bus stop at the National Museum to get to wherever isn't an easy walk. The hotel staff was helpful, rooms were cleaned well. The restaurant in the sister hotel 100 feet away has an excellent dinner. The children and I enjoyed the pool and sauna there before dinner after our days of sightseeing. All the little extras, some included and some I paid extra for, were all worth it. Great view of the Castle, too!
