Room spotless with great view of Castle. Although I was on the first floor their was barely any noise from Grassmarket below. Breakfast was good value in comparison to cafes nearby.

Room was very clean and comfortable, lots of room to hang clothes and draws to put stuff in, very spacious room and decent sized bathroom, parking is very limited by we managed to park in the sister hotel next door with no issues and as it’s pretty much right next door it’s not too far to carry bags. Staff were all very friendly and hotel we very well kept. Hotel is a perfect location within easy walking distance of all the tourist attractions as well as plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops.

Perfect hotel for our first few nights in Edinburgh. The location was amazing. Our room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend and would stay again.

The room was large and very clean, the bed was small but comfortable. The room cleaning staff were especially kind and helpful. The lobby is a bit worn and dated, as are the seating areas on the room floors. The restaurant was only open for breakfast- we would have appreciated a bar in the hotel for a nightcap- but the location is in the middle of Grassmarket, so there are lots of options closeby. Overall, I think that it was good value. The location (if you are looking for a bustling area) can't be beat.
