The room is tidy and modern looking. But it is not a great setup for a family. The washing basin is in the room entrance. The shower/toilet light is the same for the room lobby/entrance. Hence if anyone switches on the light the whole room wakes up. Also there is no separate area for the bathroom so you either get dress in the shower or in front of everyone in the room. Whoever designed the room has never travelled with kids.

We loved our stay at YOTEL Edinburgh. The best bit was being able to check in early for an additional 20 pounds charge when we arrived at the hotel at 9:00 am after a red eye flight from the USA. What a deal. YOTEL also offers free luggage storage the day of checkin and the day of checkout. They have free coffee and offer a bar credit for drinks or food if you forego maid/cleaning service for a day. Very green and friendly. Our room was very clean and the blackout shades were top notch, completely blocking out the early summer sunrise. We will look for Yotels in other future cities we plan to visit. Free maps in the lobby too. Excellent choice!

Wont call this 4 stars. Quite basic room. Feel quite claustrophobic.. No desk in the room nor tea or coffee making facilities. Have to queue up long time for breakfast. Apparently they do not have any botttles of water in the bar either!

Just had one night in this hotel but it was great. Super easy and quick check in, room was spacious and clean and super easy check out and they were able to store our bags while we explored more! Would stay here again.
