Visiting famile in Fareham

Two adults and a grandchild stayed in room with 3 beds which was perfect. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. Waitress was so lovely, nothing was too much for her and she was so smiley and friendly. Excellent stay.

It was a nice enough stay. The bathroom needed updating in the allocated room, it was definitely showing signs of age and use. Unfortunately the mattress has probably had countless people sitting on the side of it, as it sloped to one side. Convenient to use the pub downstairs, parking was fine.

I stayed at the Red Lion due to its proximity (by car) to the Royal Dockyard. My room was warm, comfortable bed and decent bathroom. The Red Lion is near some excellent local eats and easy to find. Parking was no issue (I just left my rego at reception), the staff likewise were wonderful.

my "go to" place when visiting Fareham

my "go to" place to stay when visiting Fareham and surround area. Right in the center of the town, super convenient, quiet and clean. All of the employees are friendly. Feel like I am in someone's big house. walk downstairs to an excellent breakfast. come back after a long day out and grab a beer at the warm and friendly pub. Nothing around comes close.

Pleasant enough

Stayed for 2 nights whilst working in the area. The reception and bar staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bar food was very nice and of good quality, as was the cooked to order breakfast. The room was a little compact but was reasonably comfortable. The room was cold on arrival and I had to adjust the thermostat on the radiator for it to warm up slightly. Apart from that, it was a pleasant enough stay.

Stayed for the one night with two friends. The Receptionists and Waitress that served us at breakfast, were all wonderful; they were friendly and helpful. The only let down was the interior of the bedrooms, whilst spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable, it was all very dated and in need of some TLC.

Good location, good parking quirky old building and nice staff. Building is looking a little tired in places inside and bathroom could do with a refresh but overall happy and would certainly stay again
