No maid service, poor water pressure, noisy air conditioning hard to adjust. Floors had sand. No dressers in rooms. Valet parking only at $25 a day. Restaurant not part of hotel. Breakfast burrito $40 after tip. Won't stay there again

Once you arrived it felt like you were being gouged for extra fees. They have two small ropes on the beach and if you are within that you can’t bring your own food or drink. Parking they make you feel your only option is valet and won’t say you can park on the street, although limited. Pricey when dealing with the extras. Rooms are small but well equipped. Wasn’t a bad experience but felt like you paid too much.

The hotel itself was very nice. However, the restaurant, Ya Mas, at the hotel is very overpriced. You cannot bring outside food into the beach or pool area and therefore, must buy food from the restaurant, which again is very overpriced. Everything is an additional cost - beach chairs (and you can’t bring your own), bikes, water etc. You have to pay to park at the hotel which is $25 a night. However, we got there early (1 pm, as opposed to the 4pm check in time) which caused them to charge us an additional $25, even though we still were only parked at the hotel for 24 hours. I would not stay here again due to the extra amount of money I had to spend just to be able to use the facilities of the hotel.

This property currently allows pets. I’m not a huge fan of having a dog barking as an alarm clock when I’m trying to rest on vacation. Will not use them again.

The (minimal) staff are very nice. But it is such an inconvenient location - Uber to every store or restaurant - yet they don’t tell you there’s an amazing Beach Shuttle service which is free that is sponsored by Deerfield Beach. The dining room is small and very understaffed (and overpriced) and each day they were out of something essential. But to get beach chairs you either pay 15$ per chair per day or purchase the continental breakfast to get a chair (but they won’t tell you that up front). There is no set housekeeping service so we never had our room cleaned at all in a whole week. You have to pay for it to get it cleaned. Overall nice people and lovely beach (nice small pool but it’s in the shade) but bad location and staff not helpful or forthcoming on much.

Property was a bitt hard to find in the dark since there is no sign that says "The Hillsboro"- you have to look for a very tiny orange sign that has the address number on it and the driveway is almost hidden. Once there, though, the staff was great, the hotel was clean and looked freshly renovated, and the room was clean. My one suggestion would be too better weather-seal the rooms since the tile floors were slick with condensation from the humidity of the day.

Did not like having to use app for everything. Did not like that you had to pay the restaurant in the hotel to use beach chairs. Valet parking was convenient, with pleasant staff. Desk staff responsive to guest concerns.

I loved the private beach on this property, it was absolutely gorgeous. They have a restaurant in the hotel but it’s very pricey. They charged me 7 dollars for a bottle of water. The room was very clean and organized nicely. The only thing I would say is the staff is not very professional. But overall I would definitely stay here again.
