Some areas require refurbishing

Areas within the hotel have been improved over last couple of years ie restaurants and reception. However the room I stayed in on the second floor was in need of refurbishment. Especially the bathroom reminded me of my modern pink bathroom suite in 1980

Disappointing

When booking it says there is a pool in the facilities, when already booked got an email to say pool is chargeable extra - it doesn't say that anywhere on the listing, this was why we booked the hotel and it was a great dissapointment to learn we would have to pay extra on top of the already expensive room to use it. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist advised that we have breakfast included and explained what times and where to go. However, in the morning we were turned away from breakfast as apparently it wasn't included in our room and they wanted £15.99 per person?! Thats the most expensive breakfast I've ever seen! Looked to me as if they tried to get more people in the restaurant under pretenses that you have breakfast but end up paying this extortionate price because you are already there and there is nowhere alse to eat close! In addition to the pool situation there was a massive sign at reception to say the pool is out of order what was not mentioned on any of the emails I was getting prior to coming. Overall a dissapointing stay although the room was big and the bed comfy. Generally it was dated and smelled of damp. No air con, just some lousy fan which did nothing but made us feel like were back in the 90s.

I stayed for one night on a business trip. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning. My room was next to the pool plant room and boiling hot. Location though is great, the nature area was amazing to go running in and made the stay really worthwhile

It's alright.

Overall not a bad stay. The hotel have heavily focused the refurb effects on the public areas. Nice floors but sadly where the refurbs seems to have stopped. The rooms haven't had any money spent on them since the 90s atleast. Plaster on the ceilings coming away. Paint peeling off. Very tired and outdated. No USB ports anywhere. Shower had no pressure control so it was either nothing or blasting a hole in your back. Didn't bother trying the bath. Bed comfortable.

Staff super friendly! We stayed in the family room, the beds were super comfy and there's plenty of space, sheets and towels. Room and bathroom little dated, Breakfast was amazing. Such good value for money to stay here and have breakfast. Would stay again. We stayed on one of the hottest days of 2025, fans were provided which helped. Bar open late so no issues if you fancy a late night drink.

We have stayed at the Forest Hills before as it is close to family. It's a nice stay, the proerty is starting to look a little dated in some areas. It's disapointing that thet are now chargimg residents for the use of the pool on top of a stay.

When we checked in our 1st room had most of the lights not working & the bathroom was very dated. After we were moved we still had one light out & there was a continuous drowning noise which made it hard to sleep. Would not recommend this hotel & surprised it nets the Best Western standards
