Amazing art deco building which looks to have been recently renovated we were fortunate to be in a room located in the original building thats was clean comfortable and great facilties, staff were all very pleasant and accommodating good location for a short trip into St Albans if i had to find a fault it would only have been the location of the staff room next to our room which had the door banging continuously in the early hours, but its an old building so perhaps sound proofing not great in the 20's so didn't mention this at the time of the stay
Not the best stay, had someone walk into our room at 8am so woke us up not sure why someone would when they don’t even offer cleaning for one day stays so ruined our morning in, also our bed was two single beds push together which were not the same level so bad a massive ditch in the middle of the bed which made for a very uncomfortable sleep.
Not so good. Expensive bar prices with a discretionary 10% service charge that was more than 10%. Evening meal and drink for one cost more than room. Poor signal made tv unwatchable. Looked out on to car park. Room was hard to temperature control
Very comfortable stay, and staff friendly and accommodating. It was the second time we have stayed at The Comet, and we will definitely be returning.

Please don’t book a suite at this hotel if you have multiple suitcases. They don’t have elevators to the suites. Lady at check in was unnecessarily cold - very poor service.
More like a 2 star hotel.
