Nice hotel

Nice hotel,staff professional and courteous,room clean & comfortable,ticked all the boxes needed for our stay

One night stay

Pros: The hotel is in a very convenient area for travellers and easy to find. Its biggest asset is the staff.
Cons: The hotel building is quite old so you have to accept that there are no lifts to upper floors.
Location: The hotel is in mid Sussex. There are several National Trust properties in the area and it is not far to get to the coast at Brighton.
We were there for a family party. This was organised exceptionally well. The staff were all very helpful and there was a lovely buffet provided during the evening. Breakfast was very good and there were tables for party guests to sit together if required.

Beds were very uncomfortable

Hotel average beds terrible, like laying on a pile of coil springs with very little padding.

Good room, small but with a comfortable bed

Pros: Old part had character
All in all it was a good place for a business stay. Room was fine, just a bit small. Restaurant food was OK.
