The room was ok. It looked a bit tired and walls slightly dirty. A bit of TLC would improve things. The sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain properly- blocked - which was annoying. Staff were pleasant

Despite a very friendly welcome on arrival, I find little to commend on both the hotel room nor the Raffles restaurant. Having stayed here a long long time ago and dined at the predecessor of the Raffles restaurant when it was located further down the road, I was REALLY looking forward to my return. I was bitterly disappointed

The ceiling is too thin to block any noise. I could not fall asleep sjmply because somebody upstairs was walking past midnight. I asked whether they could switch my room, bit it was impossible. Furthermore, there were two very short false fire alarms around 3 AM. I had a bad sleep. I canceled all my future stays at this hotel.

Bed ok. Room ok. Shower weak. Breakfast limited and Full English was a very disappointing small portion for £12 - small egg, partial rasher of bacon, sausage, 1 mushroom chopped into several pieces, small pot of baked beans meaning you could count them and half a slice of black pudding. Oh and one slice if toast! I was not impressed

There was a family staying on the same floor leaving the doors open and children making a lot of noise. The shower didn’t work properly so was unable to have a proper wash. The TV remote was filthy, covered in food. Also there was a noodle in the bed.
