Not great

We booked the Ambrosia Suite which looked lovely from the photos online. We did not realize that the room is located in a very old house across the street from the main property. Not a huge problem, but somewhat inconvenient. The bigger issue was the room itself; it very obviously should have been updated several years ago. The bathroom was very tiny and all of the fixtures were rusted and/or covered with a thick accumulation of limescale. The two mini split air conditioning units were not working and instead there were two window units. Both were very loud. One was inches away from the head of the bed, rendering it essentially unusable. The designated deck space for the room next door was just outside the bedroom window; we could clearly hear coughing, conversations, and children running and yelling at all times. We could also hear everything happening in the room above us. Our deck space could have used updated furniture. It was located just steps away from the outdoor spa which looked lovely but was not operational during our stay. The area was cordoned off with yellow caution tape. The pool area across the street at the main property was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. The rooms in this part of the property appeared to be updated. This is our 5th trip to Key West and by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. We won’t be back but if you do stay I would avoid any room that’s in the building across the street.

No need for a rental car. 1 uber to property from airport and walked everywhere from there which is great for us. Staff was awesome. Quiet and safe (locked gate to property with easy code). Continental breakfast was on time each day with plenty of food, but the only negative comment is that it could have been a better quality for the price. Equivalent to a lower quality hotel chain.

Cute older building across the street very quiet and private though the spa was not exclusive to us it sure felt that way., breakfast was nice. had an issue with our AC never got a chance to say anything apparently housekeeping identified. returned the room and a back up AC was installed and the room was chillin. Looking forward to our next visit very soon.

Beautiful, quiet, clean within walking distance il

Ambrosia was lovely. We stayed in the parrots perch 103 room and we were SO happy that we did. It’s on the second floor and shares no walls so we didn’t hear our neighbors. It’s extremely expensive, but for us at the end of our Florida vacation, it was worth the price. Staff was great as we were allowed to check in early and check out late.

Another good stay at Ambrosia

Have stayed here several times and it’s always consistently comfortable and well managed. We love the location. Close to everything yet not noisy. No need to rent a car. Uber is reasonable and prolific. The buildings are rustic so bathrooms and closets are smaller, but not to the point of ruining the experience. Breakfast is good. Several options.

Key West for a couple of days

Very nice old school Key West hotel in the historic part of town. Great proximity to just about everything. Remote parking. Serves breakfast. All good.

Amazing pick for Key west

Great style, great yard among several buildings with two small swimming pools. Location is perfect. Yard is shaded and relaxing, deeping in the pool was super cooling after long days
