lovely staff BUT room is very tiny, water is set off at a temperature which is NOT hot (warm but not hot) and breakfast has pretty much no vegetarian options so a bit disappointing

The room and location are nice, and the breakfast area/pub is lovely. Unfortunately there's no service number after front desk hours. We were unfortunate to be next to a room which had a full blown hour long domestic at midnight, with meant our young child and we couldn't sleep. Whilst it's not the hotels fault for the arguement, for the price point there should be support if needed. It's unfortunate, but we wouldn't stay again.

Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature.

The hotel is impressive when you enter, it is understaffed in the bar and restaurant. But the staff are friendly, food off the menu is OK, but breakfast was not very good, the eggs looked like flying saucers and had got rubbery, the mushrooms were cold, the bacon was undercooked I was lucky with the beans as they were literally topped up as I got there, the hash browns were tasty! The room was large, clean, and warm.

Lovely hotel, the staff were all helpful and friendly. It's located in walking distance from the town and a bus ride to Harrogate. The breakfast and evening meals were very nice.
