I booked 2 rooms. There was a hidden charge when we arrived at the property. I called them on Wednesday 17th of September and specifically asked other than the security deposit was there any other charge. They said no. We got there and there was an additional charge. We paid it and got our rooms. My room was decent and the A/C worked. My kids room was dirty, smelled of poop and cigarettes and the air conditioner was broken.

El Cortez... choose a different place t stay

Worst esperience i have ever had. A matter of fact, i will NEVER use Hotels.com again ... ever. The Hotel would not let me check-in because my Hotels.com profile has may 1st name abbreviated. This aparently was not Satisfactory since "JC" was my initals on my Hotels.com com profile but is not what my License reads. My you, i am a Platimum member of Hotels.com and never had any previous issues in the 10 years ive used Hotels.com . After being refused checkin , i contacted Hotels.com which would not refund me. They said it was to the discretion of the Hotel. Priya was my customer service agent. She was completely pateonizing and stood to that in now was Hotels.com refund my purchase although i was not permited to checkin and stay the one night. Two things here, never book the El Cortez in Old Las Vegas. The staff is poorly trained and rude. I also recommend that Hotels.com is not a platform that supports its customers . I even purchased the reservation protection and still was not refunded for a stay i was not able to complete. Just to.further illustrate they are so completely disengaged from their clients, they sent me this survey to ask me "how was my stay at the El Cortez". Well, thats how my non-stay experience went
