An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The highlight for us were the friendly and helpful staff in every department from checking in, to the bar staff, breakfast staff and those in the Spa. Amazing hotel, adequate spa. Whilst the pool is slightly warmed it quickly turns cold and it is missing a jacuzzi badly. Service in the hotel is second to none, every meal was lush and breakfast especially good. All the staff were courteous and prompt with any request. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat, just leave the trunks at home.

Disappointed to find that when you book through Expedia you have to pay extra at the hotel to use the pool and spa (£30 I think it was). I think you also pay extra for parking although the hotel waived that for us. So that why I downgraded to 3 stars (Expedia needs to make it clearer when you book).
