Lovely hotel. I had a room on the 3rd floor which I would avoid in future as it involves taking 2 lifts with the second lift being very slow (in keeping with the structure of the building) and also it takes a while for hot water to run. Comfortable but was disappointed as I could hear the adjacent room very clearly. Close to Poplar DLR stn. Cannot comment on restaurant, spa or gym.

My husband and I had a truly wonderful stay this weekend for his birthday Our 'Club Room' was perfect- very sleek, clean, and a comfortable. The hotel was whimsically and elegantly decorated for Christmas, and the lovely staff could not have been more helpful or kind, even when we arrived ahead of check-in and they stowed our bags away so we could head off into London. A really memorable stay- would recommend!

I left an expensive woolen jumper in my room by accident and when I followed up with the front desk they denied it was there. It is clear that it’s been stolen by either housekeeping or management. The jumper belonged to my deceased grandmother.

My room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and had great views. If you’re looking for a large, chain hotel this might not be for you but if you like older buildings and charming spaces this one delivers. I booked a second night and have a different room—multi level and also cozy and charming. The hotel staff is professional and very kind.

The hotel is really convenient for Poplar DLR and heading to Canary Wharf for dinner. The room was quirky with a mezzanine level for the bed, and everything you need for a short stay in London. However, the room was incredibly hot and we just couldn't get the temperature down. Did report it and something was done remotely but the temperature stayed the same. This led to two very uncomfortable nights. Noise carries through the walls too! I asked twice for a different pillow because the ones provided were really high. No pillow ever appeared.
