Not a luxury 4 Star Hotel

It is my first time staying at this hotel chain, it didn’t start well because we arrived very late night and was super tired. The check-in was pleasant and we got to our room and realised that the sofa bed had not been made up. Not wanting to go back down I opened the sofa bed myself but found no sheets to make it up so I had to go down to reception to ask for some sheets. The lady was apologetic and had said that it must’ve been a mistake with the Housekeeping because the bed should’ve already been made up which was reassuring to hear because I would have thought the bed would’ve been ready given it as a four-star hotel. They asked if we could move rooms for the night for the room offered to us was a standard room and I had paid for an executive room. I accepted as it was very late and it was not the person’s fault on reception. We were offered the same level of room the following day, but it would’ve meant moving all our luggage again including our cosmetics from the bathroom so we decided just to stay put. The bathroom looks very tired and could do with re-grouting otherwise it was fully equipped for what we needed . This room oversight really surprised me for a 4 star hotel and I am certainly not in a hurry to rebook but I am not adverse to it either if there are no other options should we find ourselves in the same location again in the future. In my experience when travelling to London and wanting a 4 star hotel, the best so far has been Doubletree by Hilton.

Great hotel with excellent staff. Room was perfect. Lobby and bar area is really nice! Wish we’d had more time to enjoy it. Great for getting train into London. We stayed here as going to a concert in the o2 and it was super easy to get to using the train and underground.

Very clean hotel with very comfortable bed and even the pillows were great. Next to Greenwich station so easy 30 minutes to central London. Parking expensive at £25 a night and breakfast an additional £16 so did feel a bit over priced. Breakfast was very good. Would stay again but get train there next time.

Good location for traveling in London, but rooms are a bit dated- ours had some duct tape over wall sockets. The front office check in staff leaves much to be desired, after we checked in we were hounded to pay for our room early no less than 3 times. Mind you this was after our 10 hour flight and jet lag setting in. Good restaurant, but it’s very understaffed. Honestly the only reason to stay here is it is a great location for getting picked up for bus tours and hopping on the train.

No one was there on Reception to issue room key on arrival. Had to wait quite a while for someone to show up. No where to ring or push a bell for service. Hair dryer in room was very battered and scarred with most of the paint missing off the body of it. It did work ok.
