Small but mighty

Even though it is a small hotel compared to surrounding buildings the staff were friendly and helpful welcoming food pizza was delicious The room was very spacious clean but could do with a little TLs for furniture and doors Bed was little hard but find for me Air conditioning is good as no windows opened and a fan provided Would definitely stay again It a little gem

Bad Experience and Not Necessary

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights, and it is not the first time we have stayed at the International Hotel. However on this particular occasion our visit was tainted by the way I was treated on the second night of our stay. My wife and I had been out for a nice evening and returned to the hotel and had a drink at the bar. We then ordered a couple more drinks to take up to the room. A person ahead of me ordered a drink, then went on his phone and didn't complete the purchase via the card reader. I was then asked to pay for my drinks, which I did, and got confirmation from the bar staff that the transaction had gone through. We then went to our room, however about 45 minutes later, there was a knock at our door, however when I got there, no one was visible. A couple of minutes later there was a further knock on the door and I was greeted by the duty manager and a security guard. The time was around midnight. I was then asked to go with them to the bar as they said I hadn't paid for my drinks. They then escorted me right to the bar to ensure I paid what they said was owing. This in my opinion was bang out of order and unnecessary, especially given the time. I was then made to pay again for my drinks, which I did, and this time I was given a receipt. Whatever the reason, I believe I was treated terribly and there was no need for the manager and security guard to escort me to the bar, as I had personally done nothing wrong, the hotel staff had. Left a very sour taste.

Fly infested room, 3 different rooms upon check in. 3rd room had a dangerous spiral staircase and a shared balcony as i had upgrade week before to a suite. They completely ruined our special occasion. Due to danger of death for our 12 month old son with an open metal spiral staircase leading from room to the DOOR of the room only! We had to block it with furniture. They had no cribs available and he fell out of the bed on one occasion causing distress. The balcony is not secure as all guests in neighbouring suites have acccess to your bedrooms. The room was worn and dirty. The fire alarm was set off at 2am on the first night waking us and our baby up and meant we had no sleep the first night. Second night the flies started to appear and then the morning the room was full of flies. Disgusting hotel, incompetent staff and the central complaints team are equally as disgusting. i have videos and photos to back up all these claims and they will be shared far and wide!!! Expedia as always are awful and provide zero support, they should be ashamed of themselves allowing this hotel to be on their listings

Staff member who checked me in was so rude, extremely polite to the man before me who was dressed in a suit etc but when it came to me in my working clothes she was so so rude. Almost felt unwelcome. Also threw the room key on the desk with no clear directions to room and had to come back to ask another person as i got lost. Booked a double but got a twin 👍

Check in was poor. Couldn’t hear what the staff member was saying because of the big plastic screens. The kettle in the room was huge and you can fill it in the sink. The shower set off the smoke alarm which is poor design. Not enough plugs in the room. You can’t charge anything practically

the location is convenient for canary wharf and excel. The entrance and downstairs rooms are impressive. However upstairs the bedroom I stayed in on level 4 was very tired, As were the corridors. But the room was clean and well equip and the staff in the restaurants and front desk were very good.

70's guest house room.

I had initially booked a double room with no window which I was happy with. On check in I was asked if I would be alone that evening and was offered a room swap with a window. This was all done very quickly and the room I ended up with single bed in a room backing onto the lift shaft. The bath looked like it was an after thought and they had nicked a bit of room from next door as it went into an alcove. The over all feel of the room was a 70's guest house. The room I had booked looked modern and fresh, they room I ended up with was dated. Will I be returning to the hotel? No, probably not.

Perfect stay, cannot fault it. Our room was absolutely huge with all the amenities you could ask for. Lovely view too. Parking is really easy and convenient and I think for central London it’s great value. We always stay in Canary Wharf but first time at this hotel and we have already booked to return in a couple of months.
