Lovely hotel located in a serene setting with ample and free parking. We enjoyed great conversation with the friendly staff, especially those in the beautiful dining room. The breakfast was cooked to order and to perfection…delicious! The room was very clean although a bit smaller than we expected but the bathroom was spacious and fully remodeled. It is an old building (squeaky floors, flight of stairs to bedrooms) but it has an interesting history and vintage furniture pieces placed about. We enjoyed afternoon tea served with a wonderful selection of sandwiches, scones and desserts.

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room. I had a half board deal with a good 2 course meal that I thought was excellent value for money and overall I enjoyed a very nice stay. The only little thing to fault was the coffee from the machine at breakfast!

An excellent hotel for a short stay. We stayed a Sunday, so it was a bit quiet, but the staff were friendly, the rooms clean, the bed comfy and the shower was a wonder, great pressure. Nice breakfast and all very reasonably priced.

Romm was very clean and cleaned daily to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent and the two ladies, Janet and Tess were not only frindly and helpful but also efficient. Highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel while working in Lymm for 7 days, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The location couldn’t have been better — it took me less than 5 minutes to get to work, which was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, and I can only imagine how stunning they must be in the summer. The communal areas, including the hallways leading to the rooms, are a little dated, but the positives far outweigh this. The food is excellent, and the customer service from every team member was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Housekeeping were also fantastic, and my room was spotlessly clean throughout my stay. If the owner were to invest in updating some of the communal spaces, I truly believe this hotel could be one of the very best in the area, and they could easily charge more for the experience. Overall, I’m really grateful for my stay, pleased I booked here, and would absolutely stay again.

Nice enough place with good parking, but the food is peculiar. Rib eye steak swimming (and I mean swimming) in a strangely flavoured butter. No salad, vegetable, tomato, mushrooms or other accompaniment, just a side plate of chips. The starter was wild mushrooms on an inch thick hunk of sourdough. The mushrooms were nice enough, but the quirky "marmite butter" detracts massively. Umami doesn't need to be with umami. Just odd.

Stains on carpet in room and decor needs a ‘refresh’ paint but overall fine. Large comfy bed but couldn’t get radiator to get warm and duvet a bit thin now it’s going cooler. Tv fine. WiFi good. Kettle getting old and needs replacing. Basic tea/coffee/milk provided. Plenty of parking. Breakfast fine but in a ‘cold’ room. Pleasant staff. Shower very powerful .

When we arrived for check in 9.15pm with two children we were greeted with a wedding party and a DJ. This was a stop on a long journey and wish we had been told in advance so we could seek other accomodation. We didn’t get to sleep until around 2.30 once guest stopped walking through the halls. However we also seemed to be situated above the kitchen which industrial fans stopped after midnight and came on at 5.30 am waking us all up. Breakfast selection was good. Fruit looked alittle sad, and the avo on sourdough was disappointing, with no sourdough available, over citrused avo so it didn’t go brown and a hair in one dish. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return even tho the room was spotless and comfortable. A B&B is good night sleep and something to eat which we had neither.

The property is lacking in Several areas that i noted, staff are unaware of their duties, there is a lack of understanding of things needing attention, the attention to detail is 0. Fawlty Towers comes to mind. Breakfast haphazard, things available only if the dairy man has been. Staff unaware of what foods are on menus that arnt available. Summer bedding on beds in harsh cold weather, hairdryer available on request! Bedroom carpets very dusty around edges, clothe headboard full of dust, walls marked and dirty. An unkempt feeling of the property, could be spectacular with the right people in charge. I would not stay again.
