The food service was terrible and bad service. My husband had a food poisoning because the squid wasn’t cooked properly and it was raw. The staff was not caring at all. The service was terrible and very slow. They took ages to bring the food out

We are a couple and had two nights as a break away from normal parenting duties. The room was lovely- spacious, modern and clean. Staff all welcoming, friendly and helpful. The health club facilities were also excellent, we loved having access to the gym, spa and group exercise classes. The only reason I didn’t give 5* is due to the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing- only sugary cereals, basic “fry up” and basic sliced bread. If this can be improved upon, I’d would definitely get my 5*!!

Great property. Clean, stylish and pleasant. Only spoiled by a staff member who told “leave the pool as we are closing now” 20mins before the pool was advertised to close. “If you don’t leave, you will not be able to access the hotel”, which actually happened. Despite jumping from pool and promptly getting half dressed, the attendant locked the hotel door 10mins before closing, prompting a walk in rain out side hotel and back! Really quite unbelievable service. Would have been fine if I was asked “can you help here I have something I need to leave early for”, but “get out or I will lock you in” as the first contact !!! I can’t imagine how this actually came about

this is our second time staying at the hotel, however this time we were a little disappointed in certain aspects. Firstly, the positives were the rooms are very spacious which accommodated me my partner and our child nicely. The spa is lovely and clean also. we were here for our anniversary, so we were really excited for the weekend. Now to the unfortunate negatives, the lack of communication.. we had our baby with us so the swimming times were till 7:30pm. However, we got there at 6:30 only to see a sign “swimming for children now closed at 6:30 due to lifeguard been ill” we understand these things happen but we didn’t get told once prior so we planned our whole day around going from 6:30 - 7:30 only to let our son down who was really excited to go swim. We did try and call up from our room several times but it just remained on hold, we tried 4 more times and still no answer. Also, something we were disappointed with was the staff during our time in the pulse bar, we totally respect the shutting time of 10pm & the staff were polite enough.. what we didn’t like was me and my partner were still having our drinks at 9:20pm and the staff started to clean around us and packing everything up, it felt like a “go away” scenario to be honest. Every customer is just as important even if it was just us left in the pulse bar, we paid our money to enjoy a nice night not have to return to our room so early. 10pm is already pretty early but to feel rushed at 9:20 is a bit ridiculous.

Great hotel except disabled access to pool was a long walk for me outside as I use a mobility scooter, then really struggled to access the jacuzzi up steps. Again not disabled friendly.

A lovely setting for a relaxing break.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a week long Northern trip, so having spent several days travelling from one location to another, it was a very nice place to come to relax . We enjoyed using the spa facilities. There’s a good gym with a range of modern equipment. The pool is good and sauna, steam room and hydro pool a brilliant. We enjoyed relaxing and reading in the conservatory. The bedroom was modern, clean and the bed was comfortable.Meals were good, but breakfast was a bit disappointing. Food was left standing, so tended to be a bit dry and cool. Not the best quality, but adequate. This is definitely something that could be improved on. Staff were great. Extremely helpful.

nice and quiet, convenient for macclesfield. We shall be returning. Very comfortable super king bed. We didn't try breakfast as our son is very close. The air conditioning was excellent too. Fab shower, all super clean. very friendly and helpful staff.
