Thank you for your review. We have been working on a program of renovation across the hotel and are pleased to have nearly completed all the public areas. We hope to start on our bedrooms in early 2020. We are pleased to hear how you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again next time you are in Oakham.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you feel the hotel lacks character inside. The vast number of photographs available to view on our website do show a true reflection of our facilities and we are sorry if you did not see these before your arrival. We are mid way through our renovation works, and are yet to start in the bedrooms. I am sure once this is done you will find the decor more to your liking. We are also sorry to hear you found the bed uncomfortable - we offer super-king beds in most of our comfy rooms. We take on board your comments regarding the mattress protector and are sorry that this detracted from your sleep experience. We are delighted to hear however that you enjoyed our breakfast.
