Continental breakfast served buffet style but with individual portions of cereal, milk, jam, juice etc all presented in kilner jars and reusable glassware. No tiny little portions in plastic tubs to be thrown away. Huge effort had been made to ensure COVID safety, without resorting to using piles of single use plastic. A sustainable and safe approach to the current times, very well done.

The combination of friendliness, comfort, cleanliness, efficiency, Covid19 measures and value for money is something I have not encountered before. Highly recommended if you are visiting the area

Friendly and helpful staff on reception, plenty of car parking avaable. Clean and tidy everywhere. The public areas are smart, but the bedrooms could do with redecorating to bring up to more modern decor. the bathroom was smart and modern and had a great hot power shower. Breakfast although not huge portions was tasty and a good choice of hot selections.

The outside the front of this property looks very quaint with beautiful brickwork and pretty plants. Unfortunately the inside is very dated throughout with little character to match the outside. Our room was a very large double until we lifted the duvet off and discovered it was two mattresses so someone tends to end up sleeping on the divide. The nice touch of plastic sheeting finishes off the whole sleep experience! The main redeeming quality is a fantastic cooked breakfast with local produce.

The vast number of photographs available to view on our website do show a true reflection of our facilities and we are sorry if you did not see these before your arrival. We are mid way through our renovation works, and are yet to start in the bedrooms. I am sure once this is done you will find the decor more to your liking. We are also sorry to hear you found the bed uncomfortable - we offer super-king beds in most of our comfy rooms. We take on board your comments regarding the mattress protector and are sorry that this detracted from your sleep experience. We are delighted to hear however that you enjoyed our breakfast.
