A beautiful old manor steeped in history. Staff were very friendly and professional. Room was huge and well ventilated. The carpet in our room was stained in areas, but this didn't bother us particularly. I would add that we didn't dine in the hotel, but had a few drinks and some food in the pub attached to the hotel. Drinks were good, but we felt the food was quite overpriced for what it was. Staff were friendly though and were working hard.

All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff. Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge! Mattress not the best though. Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight. Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic.

The room was spotlessly clean! Bed was comfortable and the surroundings beautiful. The food was highly priced so we didn’t eat on site. The only downside was very cheap toilet roll! Better quality would be better and wouldn’t cost more as you would need to use less!
