A special place to stay

I loved this hotel. It is quirky and stylish and, above all, comfortable. I had a lovely large room and to say it had a 'cathedral view' was an understatement. I couldn't see anything else - the cathedral is the other side of the road. The staff were lovely. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Plentiful restaurants are just around the corner. I will undoubtedly stay there again if I am up that way in the future.

Fabulous location, great place steeped in history, friendly staff. Only downside was the pull out bed for the kids which was poor, shame as everything else was spot on.

Great stay at the Deanery with a perfect location across from the Cathedral and all the lovely local restaurants, was staying for business but would defiantly base out of here to see more that Yorkshire has to offer.

A hotel full of history and quirky rooms. The sloping bedroom floors and wonky doors are part of the charm of this lovely little hotel. The staff are very friendly and the cooked breakfast is one of the best I have ever had.

The carpet in the bedroom was stained in several places & in urgent need of a good clean or replacement. Whilst in the main our stay was comfortable we felt the Hotel needed a bit of a face lift.

Fantastic stay!

Fantastic 3 night stay while visiting family. Lovely room with great facilities and a view of the Minster. Staff were very friendly and breakfast delicious! Would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend. Also great safety procedures in place during the COVID pandemic
