Friendly welcome and good service. Bedrooms are very tastefully furnished. Next to busy road but very well sound proofed. Nice breakfast. Lovely walk along River Test into Romsey. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Also dog friendly.

Grubby, grubby, grubby. Rooms, bar area, restaurant, corridors all filthy. Nasty fish and chips cooked in oil long overdue for changing. Delightful very young staff needing some serious direction.

It was boiling in my room and there was no information on how to work the heating system so I was uncomfortably hot. The staff asked what we wanted for tea and coffee in the morning, but didn't wait to listen to everyone's order and subsequently got it wrong. He also didn't smile once and no one asked how our stay was. It was all really expensive including the room and the drinks.

Really clean hotel both in the room and the bar and restaurant. Friendly staff particularly Katherine andGeorge on the first night and the lady who looked after us at breakfast. Only downside was the fish on the first night and chicken wings on the second night were a bit ovetcooked.

Great stay

It was a really lovely overnight stay, we couldn’t fault anything. Staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely with everything you could need, lovely selection of coffee and tea, yummy biscuits and even a bottle of Porter to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable and great toiletries supplied. We had an evening meal which was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. If in the area would definitely revisit
