We had a nice stay, however the room was slightly tired looking (although very clean), and extremely hot! They do provide a fan which we needed on all night, and were absolutely boiling- I wouldn’t stay again because of this.

Felt like we were staying in a family home despite the size of the place. Staff were very welcoming with brilliant service at breakfast. Parking can be tight if you’re in a large car but not a problem for us. The room we had was excellent. A corner room with double aspect and fantastic views over looking the countryside.

Little weekend away

All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The superior double room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable king sized bed. The food at the Royal was delicious. It’s outside terrace is a real bonus overlooking the river.

Excellent staff, customer service exceptional. Good location and excellent view from our room on the front of the hotel over the river and countryside. Well managed and this permeated down - good value for money.

I really enjoyed the space of the family room. It proved enough living space and privacy space for our family. I also enjoyed the location in town and being able to walk to wherever I needed in Ross. The building is keeping the traditional/historic inn feel. Felt like our stay was part of our overall trip experience.

The surroundings around this hotel are beautiful, the views from our window stretched right across the river & fields. We booked in to have dinner & everything was superb, they catered for a very fussy eater too which was great. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us. The bed was immaculately clean & very comfy, we both slept really well.

Staff members were excellent, extremely kind and helpful. They work very hard. Breakfast was excellent. Evening menu could be better. The hotel lacks a lounge area for guests. The car park is inadequate and difficult to negotiate. View from the terrace is lovely.

We had a standard room with river view. The room was very comfortable with everything we required. It was quiet hotel and a good location for the town. We booked bed and breakfast and the choice and quality were excellent. Great serviceand friendly breakfast wait staff. Highly recommend a stay here.
