Ok stay but…

Bed was fine but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Also travelling with a 5yo and 3yo, they are asleep early. There’s an expectation that hotels are equipped with a smart tv or at least decent WiFi. We had neither so would not recommend this place if you are planning to spend the evening in your room. Despite the bad night of sleep and nothing to do in the evening, the hotel staff were friendly, the pool was perfect for an afternoon and food was good with free kids meals too.

This property is up a quiet road/lane so difficult to find. The staff were busy on the phone so slow check in. I think a resident was complaining and only 1 staff on. Around 9pm. Dog friendly costs extra, accept that, but no bins for me to drop dog waste bags into, outside the entrances. Unable to access the restaurant with dogs which meant I had to leave my dogs in the room, barking, while I went to breakfast. Having a pet friendly area in the restaurant would prevent this, especially for single travellers:

Always a great experience here. Regularly stay here for work and the location is quiet, which is great after a long day. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the amenities available are great. Bar prices are higher than I’d expect for being in the North, but the quality and selection available is great. The swimming pool is quite small, but serves a purpose and has a hot tub which is a bonus.
