Fab budget hotel right in the centre of Salisbury

Pros: The location.. you couldn't get more central!
Location: It's dead central and everything is nearby - the Christmas market was literally round the corner! Lots of things to do but the cathedral is a must!
I'm always amazed at poor reviews on sites like Tripadvisor saying things like 'the noise was bad' when it's clear on the website that this hotel has a busy weekend late night bar/disco... clearly there are still very few people who use their common sense or read previous advice when booking places. So, to anyone who likes using common sense I'll be totally honest about this hotel. It's an amazing price for 2 people to stay for a night right in the centre of Salisbury... the Christmas market was literally less than a minute round the corner. The hotel has no parking (again, this is clearly stated!) but there is a great Council run car park in a place called Culver Street (5 mins walk away) which is free after 3pm on a Saturday and free all day Sunday. If you don't go here you'll end up paying a lot for 2 other car parks so don't do it.. the Culver Street car park was perfect! As for the hotel, check in is 2pm and we couldn't check in earlier so don't try. It was an easy process though - the lift wasn't working when we arrived but we're two fit people so the walk up two flights of stairs wasn't a problem. The stairs are a bit wonky but this is an old building! We were in room 202 which is at the back of the hotel and away from the main staircase and if you're really really bothered about noise then maybe request this room as you can hardly hear a thing. Room was perfect for our one nights stay!! Clean and comfy!

Nettes Hotel im Stadtzentrum

Salisbury ist definitiv eine Reise wert und das ganze Programm (Stonehenge, Old Sarum, Cathedral) in 12 abzuspulen wäre echt schade. Eine oder sogar zwei Übernachtungen dürfen es sicher sein. Das Old Cathedral ist gut gelegen, ruhig, freundlich, sauber, inkl a la carte Frühstück. Eine gute Wahl.
