Shower not working

Tired room. Peeling wallpaper. Scuffed edges. Shower head did not stay up so had to hold. Staff uninterested. Room 15 noisy / seemed to be under a corridor heavily used.

Very adequate if the location is convenient

The hotel provides most of what the traveller needs for a modern hotel, plus a few extras like pool. We are there every few months and each time feedback to them that there is nothing to provide comfortable support in the room. With one bucket chair, ultrasoft pillows and no cushions, it is quite difficult for two to sit comfortably, which to me is an obvious point. On the stay I was surprised in a hotel of this standard to find no shower cap and that a used coffee cup wasn't replaced, but I suppose the excellent choice and nut warm cookie made up for it. The rooms have a completely empty fridge except for tiny uht milk pods, and you have to ask for fresh milk, which is a cumbersome arrangement. Breakfast is great, and staff are "Yorkshire-friendly".

Clean, comfortable, convenient and welcoming

Pros: Well located, clean and comfortable.
Well located hotel, just on the outskirts of Sheffield. Clean and comfortable room, with all the necessary facilities - if I have any comment, it is that air con seems always to be an issue in hotels, despite trying to set this one at lowest, I couldn't make it work effectively, and didn't have time to ask the staff for assistance (which I'm sure would have been forthcoming). I opened the window instead, and it wasn't too loud outside. Staff particularly pleasant and helpful, and the free (warm!) welcoming cookie was a lovely treat.
