Big and spacious rooms, good for families, kingsoze bed was quite hard to sleep on however the room itself is really nice. Staff are very nice, when i got there my room wasnt ready so had to wait 30 mins in the lobby till it was, didn't offer me anything as a apology since i pay for that time. Could of let me check out 30mins later instead to make up for it.

room had stsines all over the floor.toilet was dirty and ive pictures to prove it.will not stay there again.

I had the feeling the whole building would be the hotel but it turned out that only a little part of the 'palace' was actually the park inn. So there was no exit to the sea front and the lobby was rather small. The view however was great.

Random fire alarm check at 7am on a Sunday morning

The stay at the hotel was fine apart from the fact we got a call at 7am from reception saying they wanted to check the fire alarm in our room! The man from reception came in the room looked in the bathroom then at the fire alarm in the room near the bed and went yeah that’s fine!! My fiancé complained at reception and they did give us a free breakfast and 10% off our room. The breakfast was mediocre, did eventually get crossiants but they were cold.

Great location by pier, beach and town centre

Pros: Location, facilities, cost
Cons: Restaurant food costs could be cheaper
Hotel is clean with good facilities and good location--breakfast is good and the view from the restaurant over the pier area is lovely. good value and although the hotel does not have its own car park, they provide discounted rates for the large car park directly opposite at only £6.00 per night.

Great location, but decor needs a refresh

Pros: The view
Cons: The bedding and the furniture.
Location: Adventure Island
I booked this hotel because it was so close to Adventure Island and my son wanted to go there all day long. We arrived at 11.15 and parked in the car park behind the hotel. The car park was a public car park, but it was one of the better ones. We tried to check in, even though we were very early, and we were able to go diectly to our room, which was great. We had booked a twin room but were told that we had a double room. I asked to change to a Family room and we were able to for an extra £14. The room was very big. Big enough for 4 double beds (if they were needed) however, the bathroom was absolutely tiny. Barely enough room to turn around. This seemed really odd as there was more than enough space to have a really comfortable bathroom. The carpet in the room was very nice, however, that was the only fixture of note. The remainder of the room was of poor quality and the armchair and sofa bed looked very tired indeed. There were stains on the armchair. The bathroom also needed some maintenance. On a positive note, the room had a lovely view over Adventure Island and out to sea. In summary, the room cost £160 and that feels very toppy for a room of this standard. I don't think I would stay there again.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. Im glad you liked the hotels location and views. Yes the rooms are the largest in the market and thus due to the demand in the area, the rates go up. That is the only reason why you have paid a higher amount for the room as we normally have lower room rates. I agree with you that the rooms are showing the signs of tiredness and an upgrade is necessary to keep us going in the market. Hope that you will still come back one day. Regards

Nice hotel in a great location. Bar has a brilliant view over the seafront and the pier.

Fantastic location and huge bed but a bit anonymous

The hotel was about half a minute's walk from the pier, fantastic! The bed was huge, the bathroom lovely and shower hot and powerful! But you really couldn't forget it was a chain hotel, no quirks at all. Think it lacked a bit of character but comfy and convenient.
