St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, really nice. Would I stay again? Yes, most definitely.

It was peaceful in the room but no air condition in the room, unless you sat down stairs in the dinning area. In all we did enjoy the stay.

Everything was good except my husband needed a walk-in shower as he couldn’t step into the bath but it was only a few nights so it was ok.

Nice comfortable hotel

Stayed here after a family get together at their nearby home. Room wasn’t the biggest but the bed was comfortable and it was still lovely. Quiet pub downstairs so no issues with noise. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay

Very friendly staff, excellent location, good food and great atmosphere. The only downside is that there is no on site parking. Although very cheap car park is only 5 minutes walk away

Lovely pub hotel in the centre of town. Parking is available at a number of nearby reasonably priced car parks. The hotel is very comfy and well presented

We only had a one night stay for an occasion. Once we found a car park, that was good, but there is no hotel parking. The hotel staff were very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, but we thought it was a little bit pricey. An enjoyable stay.
