Convenient, competitive and had all I needed. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would like water in vending machine (unless I missed a free option) and a pump in roof was going off every 30 seconds all the time, which was annoying but still slept well.

Stafford show ground

We've stayed here before and it's quite convenient for Stafford show ground. It's a budget pub/hotel, but it's great value and the staffs are lovely. Becca is really excellent and has befriended a few off the older locals and helps them along with advice and a chat. It's not posh, but then it's very cheap. We'll be going back 👍

Great place for a base

Great place to use as a base and to sleep while exploring or in our case visting alton towers. Rooms were comfy and clean but could do with a lick of paint. Baths are very slippey and should include a bath mat. Staff are friendly, restaurant downstairs is. Wry good for breakfast dinner and drinks.

It was quite noisy but you’d expect that on a Saturday night. There was no hot water but apparently someone was coming to fix it. the plug got stuck in the sink so the sink was full of dirty water however the staff I had contact with were all really lovely and the bed was Really comfortable

Hotel was fine but my room was on the side of the A50 and quite noisy as it’s a busy road. I’m sure the other side was fine so something to request when booking

The property is a little shabby and could do with updating. The furniture is old and battered with the condition of the rooms looking just as old. On the plus side, the shower was amazing and the bedding clean. Wasn’t a huge fan of my feet sticking to the floor in the pub next door!

not sire about future stays

the location was ok for us as we had a car but if not please look for locations nearer to city centre. The room was so hot at night. Not sure about the neatness but it really needs a lot of works: they need to refurbish the place sincerely. You can see tiles coming off the flooring just to give 1 example
