It was close to the M5 and setting was good BUT room was awful. We could clearly hear occupants laughing and talking,, which was NOT good when they have been attending a wedding celebration and did not still til near 1.00am. The room was shabby looking and whilst the double-ended bath looked superb, it looked out of place with the rest of the bathroom, which lacked character to say the least. The bath tub needed re-enamaling and the chrome coating had come off the taps. Service at dinner was VERY slow. The three courses took nearly three hours. The food was hit and miss. The scallops were beautifully cooked but the accompaniments did not add to the dish. The sea trout dish was bautiful but the pork collar and mushroom lacked seasoning.

Lovely location by the canal

Charming hotel, food was good. We had nice views of the canal and gardens from our hotel room. However the shower water pressure was poor.

Lovely Hotel

The hotel is a lovely old building in really nice grounds. It has a small swing and slide outside which is a nice touch but unfortunately was broken and not fit for use so turned out to be a disappointment. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food was very nice. The hotel charged £15 a night for a travel cot which was also disappointing. Most hotels we have stayed in don't charge for them. This was not clearly stated in the information when we booked.

Charming Staff

This was a friendly hotel, a good location. The "new" wing needed a little TLC, the shower unusable, the towel rail only heating in the evening. Overall, though a good night's stay.

Location: Visit a town called tetbury! About 20 minutes from most attractions
Bathroom needs a little touch up but other than that a great stay! Bed was comfy, breakfast was delicious and great view of the garden
