Dear John, Thank you for your time on the telephone yesterday. Once again I am truly sorry that you were unable to check in straight away as there was no record of your booking. As explained, this booking did not reach us through the ebookers service, but I am pleased we were able to rectify the situation. I do hope we can welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards Gillian Douglas General Manager

Good hotel - excellent staff

Pros: The staff were so helpful and so friendly; they went completely out of their way to help us out and made us all feel so welcome.
Cons: The hotel in general needs a good clean & a lick of paint; it is starting to look tired. This didn't impact on our stay & we will use the hotel again
Location: Easy to get to - just a couple of miles off the M1. Plenty of parking.
We stayed at the Campanile in Wakefield for one night and have no complaints about our stay. The room was fine, clean and relatively comfortable. In all honesty, you get what you pay for and for £38 per night you won't do much better. Breakfast was lovely - hot & fresh.

Budget motel

It does a good job for the market its there for. Basically people in the area for work and need a reasonable place to crash that's not too expensive. The rooms are basic - a bit dated and not spotlessly clean. The onsite bar and restaurant is ok but there are better options nearby. Can't really argue at the price but if you're not on a budget I would avoid.

Noisy morning

Building site next door and a lot of noise at 8:30am, a pain when you have been working nights

Local

It was a good location to use as a base for an overnight stay, only 20 mins to walk into the town centre.

All Basics Were Fulfilled

The location was unusual being in an industrial estate and it would have been nice and quiet. It was a noisy extractor fan over the reception building that could have been silenced. The menu was very basic and wholesome, but don't expect miracles at the price. There is also a "Harvester" within walking distance. Keep a close eye on the kids though. Not too far distant is a canal that even an adult would have difficulty escaping from!

Can't expect much more for £35

Stayed here for a 1-nighter in Wakefield....cant fault it for the money. Checkin was easy, bar was good, beer was good (if a tad pricey, but its a hotel bar) Room fine, clean, and in good order. Yes there is only 1 electric socket - but we had the foresight to fetch a 4gang... Like all budget hotels, could do with a bit of paint, but hygenic and not unclean Location is a bit strange, but taxi to town centre was less than a fiver, and would rather have free hotel parking (which there was) The motel style balcony access was practical, and all in, decent value for money. didnt try the breakfast, but theres a sainsbury just up the road with a cafe, and a Toby over the road that does brekkie till 11 (10.30 sun)
