The hotel was very good, nice room, very clean great breakfast and the bed was very comfortable. Our biggest gripe is with Expedia. We thought Expedia found hotels with good deals whereas you actually charged us a whopping 20% above the price the hotel charges. This is an extortionate amount! To add insult to injury, we only booked this hotel as it had a leisure centre and pool which we had looked forward to using. But no, the hotel told us that as we booked through Expedia we would have to pay an additional charge of£6 each per day to use the pool on top of the £200 + per day already paid which was already far more than the hotel would have charged us. So much for Expedia finding a good deal! We will not be using you again and will make sure other people don’t either. I’m sure you will have covered yourselves in the small print somewhere.

Tired & sad with dire customer service

We didn’t end up booking in as we had been misinformed at the location. I was left for 35 minutes for the Deputy Manager escorted me to a private room where he was aggressive arrogant & misinformed he raised his voice & discussed an issue that I hadn’t even raised incredibly rude & angry. He did then calm down & apologised for his initial stance & we managed to discuss the issue , I did offer a solution which we both agreed was fair & reasonable, however he needed authorisation to agree to this. Absolutely fine ….. his boss said no but they would pay for mobility scooters ….. which was insulting as I explained previously they do need to walk to maintain their mobility but can not walk over a mile in one session! We then left, on my part quite happily as I did not want to stay there a minute longer as the hotel looked sad tatty & tired I found rooms at Chapter 1 an amazing hotel right opposite the beach where Steve the owner could not do enough for us & the experience was so in contrast to what we experienced with the best western. The Deputy Manager was very apologetic in the end but to little to late

Good stay

Chose breakfast one morning which was well cooked and tasted great. Reception and bar staff helpful and cheerful. Room tidy if a little tired but it is an old building. Good amount of parking available which is a real plus. Well placed to get to seafront although a bit of a trek to far harbour which is the liveliest area. But reachable. Overall Good.

Good location, excellent staff. We were received with great service and information. Hotel rooms are dated but clean. Restaurant dated from 90ties Food quality was surprisingly great even for 10pm late servings.

We just got home from a really lovely stay at The Rembrandt. We had a family room which was lovely and spacious. Plenty of towels, all facilities you would need in a hotel. We needed an iron which was promptly brought to the room and staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was super easy too. Perfect location for the beach and a lovely walk to the town and harbour

Nice Hotel

We had a problem with our room, strange odour. We eventually moved room on our last day. Given much nicer room Generally nice hotel, nice breakfast, drinks pricey as all hotels are. Very good location for walking into Weymouth Manager did refund us small amount of money for the room problem. Would stay again there.

The hotel fire alarm woke us up at 7am! No electricity plug near the bed! Burned with faucets(rediculous separate hot and cold water!) paid for the pool! Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The reception called ten minutes after check out time, no flexibility.
