Very adequate older hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable. The area around the hotel is very walkable, and there are several very nice restaurants within walking distance.

Competition weekend

Lovely weekend stay. Room very clean and tidy staff very friendly and accommodating. Shower nice and hot. Food served in Pub in front of the hotel building, quite popular but staff very helpful and food fantastic

Im from wigan originally we came down for my neice wedding it was hood that my family came into the pub and we had a few drinks. We had breakfast on Sunday morning and it was the best weve ever had. The staff were friendly & helpful The rooms could so with a bit of TLC apart from thay excellent weekend Definitely stay again next time down in wigan

Just needed somewhere close to Wigan so location good. Very dated building but room was nice, great parking and great if you can get the right price if you are travelling and need a stop over as opposite the motorway junction

Couldn't Pay Me To Stay Again

Disgusting, dirty and mouldy. No security on entrance and no security doors so anyone could walk into the building. Music on loud in one of the rooms until 1am and no front desk to report too. Needs closing down or a total renovation. Avoid!

Lovely staff, great for what you pay.

Great as a business stop over. The bar area is lovely Strong smell of weed, in the corridors Noisy from other rooms at night. ( when i stayed this time) I have stayed before and it was fine

Handy location

It was a pleasant stay. Once I'd moved room I was happy. Anywhere other than first floor has a mouldy smell. Place could do with a bit of modernising but was clean and tidy. To eat you have to leave the buidling to go up the steps to the bar and restaurant in a separate building. There was nothing spectacular about the food but it was eatable. It's not a place I would go to for a relaxing break but it was comfortable and close to family that I required.
