The hotel itself is great, with the dining area being beautiful & view great. You are paying for the view. The room was nice but for some unknown reason they put heating on at the height of summer. The window only opens less then a crack. Whist we did get provided with a fan the room was still red hot & as a result i was far too hot all night to sleep. We personally wouldn't stay again for that reason

At first the hotel was beautiful on the inside and gave a 5* feel in the lobby, the rooms were nice, with a big bed which was a plus. The hidden extras for the spa were disappointijg considering we were there for 20mins as it was thundering and lightening and were unable to make great use of them, without it being a health and safety hazard, but I'd already booked through Expedia, so I could hardly not use it, so I paid the extra. It was concerning that there was also a great electric wire just hanging out of the wall on the decking, which I was suprised to find when I searching for the light switch for the outside decking to which there wasn't one. The next day we were given the options to have a vegan breakfast and when we asked what it was the waitress said tofu replaces the egg, so we chose that option, only to find the breakfast came without tofu or egg, we later was told sorry they have no Tofu, perhaps don't offer this if you don't have it, or at least go back to the customer and let them know so I can opt for an alternative. Overall not the worst stay

Loved our stay! The staff were so accommodating with last minute changes that needed to be made. Everyone was really friendly and hospitable. Also great views from the room, spa, and bar/restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks to the whole team 🙏

The room and bathroom was lovely but the bed’s mattress was not comfortable at all. The private hot tub and patio was not private as they are doing works so people kept looking in and not to mention 2 drones flying over us and taking it’s time. The patio had loose stones on the edge and plastic pieces missing not to mention there was quite a bit of dirt in the hot tub although it was covered. What was posted online and what we got was not worth the expense!

Lovely place

Great location and overall a lovely hotel. Gorgeous views of lake Windermere. The pool was under maintenance while we were there so they gave us complimentary spa use which was nice of them - although there were only two spa hot tubs which predictably got very busy as all the guests had complimentary spa use.

Fantastic views

Hotel was superb. Pity it didnt sell swimwear for a last minute booking to use the spa facilities. Views were fabulous.Food was tasty. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They just need seperate trellis for outside balconies for extra privacy. Although alot of renovation going on but did not disturb the stay.

Building site stay

We booked to stay here on our 10th wedding anniversary as the pictures and website looked liked just what we wanted to relax. A spa with swimming pool and treatments available. With what looked like a brilliant restaurant.There was no advertisement of the building works being undertaken. I was contacted two days before our stay saying the swimming pool would not be open as it was under refurbishment and wasn’t ready in time. But they offered us use of the external hot tubs as an alternative with a discount on spa packages which my wife used We started the “relaxing” break by some food in the lounge but were surrounded by workmen building booths. So we quickly left and went to our room. We then used the spa, which again soon became disrupted with the sound of power tools being used. We decided it would be more relaxing if we left and went into Bowness for the remainder of the day. We returned later that evening and went to bed. Only to be awoken at 0630 by the sounds of wheels items and banging in the room above. I’m guessing workmen prepping for the day. We didn’t bother to use the facilities again as the building works were again underway and just checked out and went back to Bowness. I’m sure when the works are complete the site will be more relaxing. But had we been told of all the works upon booking I wouldn’t have bothered. A large price to pay to stay on a construction site.
