Was room was great, the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially as we had our small dog with us and the food was delicious. The surrounding grounds were beautifully kept too with a good amount of attention to detail. Parking was good too, especially as I had a big trailer with me.

My only small qualm would be that as we had a dog, our room looked like it hasn’t been renovated in a while; we paid extra for bringing the dog which I would’ve thought covers the cost of extra cleaning even in newer rooms. A genuinely dog friendly hotel (with a lovely welcome gift for the pooch too), while respecting guests who are not necessarily dog fans.

Lovely large room spotlessly clean with comfortable large bed. Lovely decor, tea and coffee faclities and coffee machine. Nice bathroom with deep bath, great for a nice soak after a day walking. All staff very friendly and attentive. Good breakfast selection and dinner was excellent with great service. Ample parking and good base to visit local area. We will definitely be returning. One of the best hotels in the Lakes we've stayed in . Dog friendly rooms although we didnt bring our dog this time.

Stayed two nights. Very nice hotel with welcoming staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Could have been an even better experience...although a quiet and spacious room, avoid room 19 unless you are aware this room has very little natural light as that is blocked out by structures at the back of the hotel. Little light and no view is not ideal. Advised by staff to book directly with hotel next time if wanting to avoid that sort of misunderstanding!
