Nice hotel lovely views .

My staye at the hotel was only one night .But the service was excellent. THE FOOD WAS ALL SO EXCELLENT.

Looks better than it is in fact

Pros: The location is great. The hotel is situated on the hill so the views from our room were really great.
Location: The hotel is conveniently located between Windermere and Bowness - approx 10 mins to both.
It was freezing during the nights in our Classic room, even with all radiators on maximum level of heat. The room in general looked tired - crack in bathtub side panel, rust on radiators, holes in faux leather coach. We had to wait approx an hour and a half to check-in at 3pm (which is OK according to hotel accommodation rules), so we expected to have our room in a perfect condition, but right after coming in we found a piece of bread under the coffee table. So we waited till the next day service room and hoped this piece will be removed, but unfortunately it was not. So possibly it is still there... with new guests. We were also disappointing with swimming pool facilities as we were hoping to swim a lot during our break. But the hotel pool is basically made for soaking rather than swimming, or playing with kids - half of it about the knee deep and the other one is about the stomach deep (for a person 170 cm tall). There is also not much space for changing, and the lockers work with 1 pound coin only, which you don't expect to see in the hotel... We enjoyed our first breakfast as we ordered classic English breakfast plate, but the other day we decided to try porridge and poached eggs with salmon with hollandaise sauce, which was deffinately a huge mistake from our side. Looked like the oats were covered by hot milk and that was it. My husband couldn't eat his dish at all - it was all covered with inedible hollandaise sauce.
