Merewood is a beautiful country house hotel. We had a perfect stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel and its grounds are just lovely. We ate in the Arboreal restaurant and, wow, what a treat that was. Really couldn't have been better

We had an amazing weekend at Merewood County House.It was in a great location. Our room was huge with a great view of the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and well set out. Exquisite hotel in a fantastic location, amazing staff made us feel so welcome. From the receptionist, barman, to the restaurant staff all super friendly and welcoming. Food at the restaurant was some of the best we have ever had. Room was super comfy and clean, great views over Windermere, will definitely be going back.

Absolutely wonderful staff, front of house host was lovely and very welcoming. Beautiful cosy atmosphere in the three social areas we visited (bar,lounge and library).
