Receptionist and restaurant staff are friendly and good manner.
Double room with king size bed is very spacious, clean bedroom, plenty toilet rolls, full size kettle with tea/coffee and good quality cotton bath sheets.
Slept well.
Quiet location.
English breakfast is good and a good selection of cereals.
Wow! Their chef cooked perfect poached eggs.
Clean restaurant.
The only thing I don't like is their tiny soap for washing hands and no hair conditioner. I just used my own shower gel to wash hands.
Hairdryer is a bit slow but we will still stay there again. Overall is good value for money.
We just needed a bed for the night, breaking a journey to Durham and booked on price. We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend the hotel for a quick stay. The decor was a bit austere but the service was excellent. There was a lack of blue badge parking spots (2 within easy reach of the door but they were already taken). I was informed that there were more in the overflow carpark but unfortunately they were even further away than the non-blue badge parking spots!!
Limited options in breakfast overall all was good except the cleaning in the room things where dusty and bath not so clean as well place is only reachable if you drive but the employees very nice and helpful
the room was clean and comfortable the staff were lovely and very attentive, the meals were excellent, good size portions and very quick service, we stayed there to visit the christmas markets, but will be returning as we enjoyed so much

The room was clean. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is a taxi drive away from York, as there are no buses. We had our evening meal in the hotel at night, which was very large. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
Hotel in lovely setting just outside of York wonderful comfortable, clean, warm cosy,room,staff very helpful food was exceptional such big portions and price per room was unbelievable will defiinatly be returning for another visit
The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

Room was great. Staff professioal, attentive and efficient.
On arrival the staff was very polite and welcoming. The room was very clean, spacious, comfy bed and a great size bathroom too. The views were amazing. Gorgeous breakfast. Could not fault it
The lady who checked us in was very knowledgeable and assisted with the best way to get into the city. Breakfast staff excellent under pressure. Breakfast excellent and hot.
