All the bad reviews are true, only cold water, towels (had to stole them from different room as our did not have any) and bedding smells like it was washed in water only. Heating works in a few rooms, main doors does not lock properly so don't be surprised that people leave them open. No owner, one guy from different hotel showed us the room, told us that guy who owns this place just left it on its own. So one night (we stayed for two) random people were in corridor and smoke weed. No communal room with pool or bar. Only 2 showers for all guests (15 rooms)

My partner and I have stayed at the Jesmond on various occasions, the staff have always been lovely (We understand it is recently under new management). The rooms are small, bathroom facilities are shared and some of the beds creek. Frankly, you get what you pay for. But the nights are quiet, the bed is clean, the staff are lovely and will do anything for you. We ourselves are awful at making the check in time and we’ve always been catered to. Signing out is as easy as dropping your keys in a box and off you go. It is in no way buckingham palace, but you cant complain if you need a place to stay for the night. Theres much worse in blackpool. We’ll continue visiting :)
