The staff and team were super friendly and professional. Unfortunately the room was a total bust. There’s no AC or any kind of ventilation other than being able to partially open a window that faces a very noisy alley. No ventilation in bathroom either, so the entire room gets hot, muggy, and stuffy even in cold weather. Theres a fan tucked in the corner that really doesn’t do much. The rate came almost to $480 cad per night, and this is not worth that rate at all. Room had a random dirty mug in the bathroom floor left by someone before us. Would not return unless it’s for a budget, and the price comes down and reflects that.

Our stay was great! We had a late night drink in the bar one evening, and breakfast and coffee one morning. The room was the perfect size for myself and my husband and our two suitcases. The bathroom was a great size, and the area was very quiet, safe and very walkable to all popular sites. I wish the room had a/c, even in a Scottish September it was a bit stuffy and warm.

The property is very well maintained, and the staff was excellent in all regards. However, some of the rooms (Including ours) are too small to be considered hotel rooms and the bathroom layout is impractical (you can't access the sink without backing into the wall behind you and despite the bathroom's small size, the tub/shower is so large and tall that a step ladder would make accessing it easier).

Pros: Very warm welcome upon Checkin, the woman at the front desk stowed my bags and then had them waiting in my room once it was ready. The hotel has nice decor and my room had high ceilings. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious and you get 20% off food when you let them know your room number. Cons: Sometimes food service was slow despite it not seeming busy at all. The second night, I tried to get dinner and no one greeted me despite me saying hello to two of the staff standing there. I waited awkwardly and then left to get food somewhere else. The room was otherwise clean but there was a dead fly in the coffee pour over and black mold on the bottom of the shower at the seam of the door.
