I stayed for 1 night by myself on tge 13th January 2020z I checked in around 3pm and the reception checked me in in a blink of an eye, giving me details about breakfast and allowing me time for any questions I had in mind. I was allocated room 402, on the second floor and could not ask for better. A queen bed, en-suite with a working desk with amenities and the tv. When I booked this place I read a lots of mix review but to be honest I clarify that most of the negative ones are not true. My room was extremely clean and could not find any fault whatsoever. I will definitely be back.

Big comfy rooms and great breakfast

Pros: room, breakfast
Cons: We weren't able to eat our last breakfast because we had to go to the airport too early in the morning. sandwiches would have been nice instead.
Location: 10min to waverly bridge from where on you can go anywhere
There's nothing much to complain. The rooms were clean, breakfast great, friendly staff, save neighborhood.

Lumpy night

This hotel consists of 4 town houses joined together with a maze of stairs and corridors. It's easy to get lost as you can only go from one to another on the ground floor. My room was in the basement of the furthest house from reception. Nice clean room, but the bed was well past its best and needed a new mattress. Mentioned this to reception who said they would get maintenance to look at it. Bar and restaurant closed on a Monday night, so not ideal for a single traveller as you have to go out for dinner. No communal lounge. Not 4 stars.

Fortunate Find

I thought the hotel was stylish and quite elegant,room spacious and comfortable,bathroom modern..Breakfast buffet very nice.

Family trip to Edinburgh Film Festival

Whilst in Edinburgh for film festival we also made time to see Edinburgh Castle not sure if it was value for money as it cost ÂŁ16 per person to go inside and we had toured the castle within an hour. Shopping is good as there are designer shops as well as high street shops. The hotel was clean and comfortable it had a restaurant and bar and was close to all amenities although we had a hill to climb to access most of them.

perfect

i didnt actually stay at the hotel but got it for my mum as a christmas present she said the hotel was spotless , staff couldnt have been any nicer , her room was lovely and the location was excellent , overall she had a brilliant break staying here and would recommend it highly
