My wife and I had a very difficult time sleeping because of the strong smell of chlorine used in the bleach to clean the room. We left the window open all night ( you could only open window about 10cm) but we both had lung irritation next morning. Very unpleasant. Room was very small and way over-priced for what you get ( And that was before the demand to see the Queen's coffin where room prices were ridiculous everywhere). Staff were very nice and they have a good breakfast. Luckily we only stayed one night but we will not be returning to this hotel for our next visit to Edinburgh.

Loved this hotel - great location, twin room was lovely. Not sure whether hotels are now being cheeky by not providing a full housekeeping service, especially as there is probably more chance of catching COVID interacting at the door and passing bins, towels, toilet rolls backwards and forwards than coming in once guests have left for the day. Staff were fantastic and represented hotel brilliantly

The price paid for the stay felt cheeky following they were under refurbishment. Which meant that if staying during the day for a nap there was noise. We put the sign of no disturb at the door, and the cleaners couldn't have been louder speaking right out of our door, totally ignoring we wanted to sleep. The hotel included breakfast, which they provided with vouchers to a restaurant nearby, but the food was definitely not to the standard of a usual ibis styles. If given the chance I wouldn't pay for breakfast at that restaurant would prefer the money back and gone somewhere. The hotel is stylish, with great location and parking discounted which are the main perks, still not justifying the price when under refurbishment.

convenient location, close to tram stop, friendly staff, I went for my birthday and they surprised me with process, chocolates and a card which i thought was very thoughtful and considerate of them. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to others too
