this place is a motel, not a hotel. Absolutely stinks of cigarettes. The manager is not accommodating at all and is part of the smoking problem.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend I truly wish we could at least get a refund for this stay. We booked the unit based on photos showing a bright space with a beautiful pool view. In reality, we were placed in a dark unit tucked at the far end with absolutely no view—completely different from what was advertised. It felt more like a neglected apartment than a vacation rental. The issues didn’t stop there. Upon arrival, the bathroom reeked of harsh cleaning chemicals. Once that wore off, an unbearable sewer smell took over—and because the bathroom opened directly into the bedroom, the odor lingered constantly, making the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and living room had air conditioning units, but they were so loud that we decided to turn them off completely. It was impossible to relax or sleep with them running. To make matters worse, we had no internet for three full days. When we finally reached the manager, they called someone to fix it—but by then, the vacation was nearly over. The unit also had mosquitoes—I left with multiple itchy bites—and whatever detergent they used on the sheets irritated my skin from the very first night. I have several photos documenting all of this and would be happy to share them. Overall, the unit felt neither safe nor healthy. The listing photos are misleading, the conditions are poor, and the experience was truly miserable.

We love staying there it’s our favorite on Lauderdale Beach .. location is great .. staff is so nice .. it’s a relaxed vibe . Nice and clean as well .

A spacious 1 bed-room apartment hotel with a full kitchen. Perfect for a family. 2 blocks from the beach. We borrowed beach chairs, towels and a parasol for the beach. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the room, and could save. A 25-min walk along the beach to a Publix Supermarket for food and groceries. Hotel office hour is limited but the manager will reply quickly by phone. She gave us a code key so that we could check in at 2 am in the morning. $20 on Uber from the airport even without a rent-a-car.

This was a great place to stay! Wasn’t sure at first but definitely will be back! It’s your own little apartment with a kitchen and living room, which was nice awesome! Place was so clean you could eat of the floors! Would definitely recommend 100 %

I must admit I am quite disappointed in our stay. When we first got there, our toilet wouldn’t flush without us having to remove the lid and manually do it. We notified the property and they stated they’d look into it, but they did not. The 2nd night, we came home and the toilet was leaking and we had water into our bedroom, which got all of our stuff wet. We tried calling and knocking on the managements door to assist, but could not get ahold of them. We cleaned it up ourselves and had to turn the water off. The next day it took until noon before we could get someone to come look at the toilet and fix it. In addition, we did not have hot water, which we also told them the first time, and that never was looked at, so cold showers all weekend. To make things right, we simply asked for a reimbursement for 1 night, thinking we were being fair. It’s now been over two weeks and we still have not received anything and when I just called, I was told the manager is on vacation. To put it nicely, I’m extremely disappointed in this place and it is definitely not worth the money. I’d recommend passing on this one!

Great location only 2 blocks away from the beach. About a 20 minute walk to main bars. Pool was great, nice to have beach chairs too. Some cleanliness issues but for the price we payed I didn’t mind at all.

We had a wonderful stay at the Soleado hotel! The room was spacious and clean. It was also really great to have the kitchen space. The location was perfect - everything needed was within walking distance (beach, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.). The pool area was smaller but perfect for what we needed. I can’t wait to plan my next visit at the Soleado hotel!

We had a great time at Soleado! Properly was clean, rooms extremely clean and house keeping came to refresh towels and take out trash daily. Staff very friendly and accommodating. They let us check in early and stay a little later. Only issues was the internet connection, we never had good connection. And with it being a smaller property, a whole extended family took over the whole pool area almost all weekend, stayed there literally all weekend, wasn’t any room for any other guests. Maybe a time limit would help ensure other guests got to use the pool area as well. Other than that we loved it! And will be back!

Can’t flush toilet paper down toilet. Light on microwave didn’t work and wasn’t fixed after we notified management about if. He said just don’t use it. We didn’t get clean towels every day. Pool area was nice. Room was comfortable. Television channels were very basic and extremely had to find what channels were available. No list was provided. This was our second stay at soleado hotel. Our first experience there was much better. I doubt we will book Soleado again.

Steps from the ocean and walking distance to many local restaurants. The staff was nice. The property is well maintained. There was quite a bit of mold in the bathroom on the ceilings and along the floor. It was cool that when we came back to the room from our day, our beds were made and the place was tidy. That seems to be a lost practice so it was nice!

This hotel is NOTHING like the photos I viewed on Expedia. I am aware that the actual property can be little bit different from the listed photos but what I mean here is NOTHING like the photos. The room we got had really bad smell (like damp and unventilated room smell) and no sunlight was getting in despite few windows. Needlessly saying the room did not look anything like the photos either. Pool area was very grubby and there was a lady doing painting around the pool area while someone was sunbathing. Email communication or messaging via Expedia was non existing as we got no replies prior to arrival. The guy at the reception was unfriendly, unhelpful and almost rude. Obviously there is no non-smoking policy in this property as he had a lit cigarette in his mouth. It was an absolute horror and we actually walked out and booked into a different hotel. No refund given from this hotel. I personally advise to avoid this one.
