Room allocated was nect to/behind the lift. Definitely needs better soundproofing. Was awoken from 6am by constant lift noises. Breakfast was ok but not a scottush breakfast as you would expect. Rooms are clean enough but good do with renovation. Peeling paint in bathroom. Fairly cold autumn and room was hot with limited opening window. We stayed here in the dummer and thought it was the weather then but obviously not. Carpark barrier not eorkimg do a loy of cars parked for hospital nect doir for free, rather than just hotel guests. Be wary of booking again.

Staff lovely. Bed clean and comfortable. Improvements needed - window didn’t close fully so outside noise quite loud from early in the morning. Quality of rooms reflected in affordable pricing.

Staff welcoming, room very basic and decor very dated and tired looking. The bed again old and worn but did manage to sleep. Shower was very cold in the morning although there was hot water coming through the bath tap but on switching to the shower, it ran cold. Reported to reception on checkout. Didn't use any of the other facilities.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Never used bar or had breakfast. We had early check in with no issues for a wedding. Used car park overnight at no charge

We found our stay acceptable but regrettably the accessible room I had stated a preference for was not available, hence we were accommodated on the fourth floor. The lift was available and fine going up, however it was not so reliable going down. There was a long wait for it arriving which was not easy for my husband whose poor mobility makes it difficult standing, and he had a bit of a walk to our room. The staff were helpful, and the young man who served us in the restaurant was very kind and mannerly.

Not recommended

A bit dated, both outside and in. Windows were filthy, showers were ice cold, breakfast was quite poor - not much choice and stocks were not replenished so we went hungry. Definitely won't stay again!

Not the best place to stay

Our room 416 was not clean. The bathroom was dirty-the walls and door especially. The curtains and chairs in the room were stained and dirty. The walls are paper thin so you could hwar everything and the lifts never worked properly. Not as good as the reviews say.

Very strong Smell of damp on all landing in room and stairs well hard to breath I have COPD also lift no working had to use stairs have a disability and king size bed was not king-size bed two put together uncomfortable sleep as beds kept separating between mattress where you basically fall in to the middle of the bed

Overpriced, dirty and far from a true 3-star hotel

At check-in we were assigned a room with torn curtains and a blocked toilet. After reporting this, we were moved to another room next door, but unfortunately the conditions were just as bad – and still not the room standard we had originally booked. The carpet was stained, the window frames showed black mold, the windows were dirty, the furniture was chipped, the mirrors smeared, and the bedding slipped off constantly. There was also a gap of about 2 cm under the door, and even the shower curtain was stained. The staff seemed stressed and not particularly service-oriented. Breakfast was poor – greasy, overly sweet, and of questionable quality. The cold counter for yogurt, cheese, butter and fruit had no lighting, and several items already tasted spoiled. We asked to cancel the second breakfast but were refused. We were relieved not to have suffered food poisoning and even more relieved to check out of this hotel. This so-called three-star property is overpriced, does not deliver the promised standard, and is not recommended at all – especially not for anyone who values cleanliness, style, and proper service.
